Q: What's a zine?
A fanzine, zine for short, is a term that combined the words fan and magazine. It is a booklet made for fans by fans. It is a non-official publication either in the form of PDF or physical book, often containing a mix of artworks and written works for a specific series, fan group, or event.Q: Will this be a digital or physical zine?
This zine will be digital-only!Q: Will this be a for-profit, charity, or free zine?
This zine will be completely free! When the project is over, the link to the zine pdf will be shared on our social media.Q: Will this zine be Safe for Work (SFW) or Not Safe for Work (NSFW)?

The theme of this will be on a found family. This means bonds between people who are not blood-related but are as close as family.Q: Will this be canon-compliant, or are AUs allowed?

Application Guidelines
WRITER GUIDELINES
- Writers should submit 2-3 of their best fics.
- Fics should be between 1k to 3k in length.
- Fics can be submitted via Google Docs, Ao3, FF.net or Wattpad links.
- NSFW fics are not allowed.
- Thread fics on Twitter will not be accepted.
- LCF fics are preferred but not compulsory.
- Fics with family themes are preferred but not compulsory.
- Completed, polished works or excerpts that can stand on their own are preferred.
- Fics will be evaluated based on several factors, including grammar, characterisation, and flow.
- Applications with inaccessible links will be discarded (eg. permission sharing not turned on for Google Docs).ARTIST GUIDELINES
- Artists should submit a portfolio of their best works.
- The portfolio should include at least 3 art pieces, with at least 1 piece having full background.
- NSFW art is not allowed.
- Some portfolio sites may include Google Drive, artstation, carrd, behance, wix, dA, and Instagram. If unsure, please drop us a question at our Curious Cat or email us.
- Submitted links should be accessible and not hidden behind a paywall.
- LCF art is highly recommended but not compulsory.
- Your art will be evaluated based on several factors, including anatomy, lighting/shading, and backgrounds.
- Artists interested in applying as a DIGITAL MERCH ARTIST must apply using a separate application form.DIGITAL MERCH ARTIST GUIDELINES
- Digital merch artists should submit a portfolio of their best works.
- The portfolio should include at least 3 art pieces, preferably including the style of merch they'd like to create (eg: icons).
- Some portfolio sites may include Google Drive, artstation, carrd, behance, wix, dA, and Instagram. If unsure, please drop us a question at our Curious Cat or email us.
- Submitted links should be accessible and not hidden behind a paywall.
- LCF art is highly recommended but not compulsory.
Zine Guidelines
WRITER GUIDELINES
- Writers will be expected to write 1 SFW fic based on the found family theme, within a word count of 1.5 - 2k.
- Fics must use official LCF character names (Eg: Alver Crossman instead of Alberu Crossman).
- Romantic ships are not allowed (except for canon relationships such as Deruth/Violan, but the fic should still focus on family dynamics rather than romance).
- Implied ships focusing on platonic bonds are allowed.
- The word count limit will be added after the interest check is completed.
- Fics will be beta-ed by beta mods.ARTIST GUIDELINES
- Artists will be expected to draw at least 1 SFW art piece for the zine (single page spread, double page spread, or comics).
- The exact art dimensions will be shared by the layout mod in the future.
- Art should be colored instead of black and white.
- Single page and double page spreads must have backgrounds.
- Comics must use official LCF character names (Eg: Alver Crossman instead of Alberu Crossman).
- Romantic ships are not allowed (except for canon relationships such as Deruth/Violan, but the fic should still focus on family dynamics rather than romance).
